Saturday, 2/23 - A & B MTB Ride - Essential Bean

Ride Summary...they say that wisdom comes with age...but sometimes the aged make impulse decisions that leave everyone questioning their wisdom...well that was the case today when Tom B. thought he was participating in an X games event...as I hear it, the take off was amazing, but unfortunately for him the landing was spectacular...a trip over the handlebars and a face plant into the snow is just what was needed to bring the aged man back to reality...I believe each rider who witness the "crash" should thank him for bringing a smile to their face and in Dave R.'s case a moment of flat out laughter...

...seriously though we had a great turnout as can be seen by the photo above...we had a mixed bag on routes with Joe R., Erick M., Greg P., Dave R., Kevin T., Matt ?., Josh S., Tom B. and Bert R. giving the Paul Henry trail (south) a go and then ending up on Duncan Lake Rd...I hear that there were a few that went down on the icy roads....Russ C., Kraig G. and Doug K. decided to take the roads around Duncan Lake

...and as we do each week, David E. get the dubious honor of receiving the "girly man" of the week award...according to a relative, David E. had "committed" to showing up but instead offered up the lame excuse of oversleeping...til next week may the sun be in your face (not snow) and the wind always at your back...

Saturday, 2/16 - A & B MTB Ride - Essential Bean

Ride Summary...we'll we found out who the diehards were today!...it was stinkin cold out...we had a great turnout....Earl A. and Erick M. led the ride with Greg P., Joe R. and Tom B. in hot pursuit...it was nice to see Kevin T. return this week and bring his nephew, Matt...Kraig G. and Russ C. decided to do a little exploring and created their own route, I hear Russ was questioning Kraig's "shorter" route...also, it was good to see Tim Z. prior to the ride at Essential Bean, he could not join us due to thumb surgery, not sure what's up with that, but he has a cast and a picture for proof...and last but not least, Dave R. has the dubious distinction of receiving the "girly man" award this week for showing up for just the post ride coffee and bagel...
